A very striking specimen consisting of a highly crystalline matrix of gray Orthoclase richly covered by fine, needle-like crystals of very lustrous, jet-black Schorl. There are also a small number of thicker, columnar crystals, more typical of the mineral. The contrast between the two is very striking and attractive, making this a very aesthetic display specimen.
