A classic cluster of deep-violet Amethyst crystals from the Rio Grande do Sul basalt flows in Brazil. The location is more famously known for its amethyst cathedrals and geodes, so a plate-like specimen like this is uncommon. Some of the crystals contain phantoms and other visible growth zones. In the crevices between the well-formed crystals are minute inclusions of yellow-coloured Goethite. This is a very presentable classic specimen.
