Blocky, almost black crystals of Olivenite on a matrix of pale-brown quartz. The specimen is clearly old, possibly dating back to the mid-19th century. This specimen is a true classic, originating from Cornwall. Ex. Alex Franz collection. Although the original label does not state a precise location, this is almost certainly from Wheal Gorland by comparison with other, almost identical specimens.
