Fuchsite is the colorful green chromium-rich variety of Muscovite. This particular specimen consists of a matrix of small, fused, platy crystals of Fuschite stacked above each other in layers. The colour is a very intense green, coupled with a very bright pearlescent luster. An excellent example of the species and the classic locality.
