A large, tabular crystal mass of Biotite partly embedded in the local nepheline syentite pegmatite matrix. The mineral has an attractive silvery-brown colouration and very clearly shows that it is formed of individual stacked flattened crystals. Although referred to as 'Biotite' the mineral is actually used generically for any mineral occurring in a series between Annite/Phlogophite and Siderophyllite/Eastonite. A very striking specimen of a mineralogically diverse mineral.
